Bro. Billy Emmons, age 83, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at the University of Mississippi
Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 7, 2020 from 12:00 noon
until 1:45 p.m. at Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 2:00
p.m. in the chapel at Wolf Funeral Services in Lake. Graveside services will follow in the Pine Ridge
Cemetery in Lawrence, MS. Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS is in charge of arrangements.
Billy had lived in Lake, MS since 1979 where he moved from Wade, MS. He proudly served his country in
the United States Air Force from 1955 to 1966. He was an Electrical Engineer by trade and was
employed with Ingalls Shipbuilding for twenty-two years. After his retirement from Ingalls, he served as
an Electrical Trades instructor at the Vocational-Technical Center in Neshoba County. Although he
enjoyed and succeeded in his career in Electrical Engineering, his true passion and calling was telling
others about Jesus and sharing the Gospel of Christ. He devoted many years of his life to teaching and
preaching the Word of God. Most recently, he served as the pastor at The Church at Unity Assembly in
Forest, MS.
Billy married the love of his life, Ann, on March 9, 1965 in Wade, MS. Together, they established a God-
centered family, a life they loved, and a legacy that will live on for years to come. He was a devoted
husband and a loving father to their three children. In his spare time, Billy enjoyed fishing, working in his
yard, and spending time with his family, especially his two great-grandchildren.
Billy is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Emmons; his parents, Carlous Counce and Martha
Virginia Emmons; son, Billy Mack Emmons; and his sister, Bobbie N. Ladner.
He is survived by his two loving daughters, Sissy Emmons Johnson of Lake, MS and Lisa Seale (Gary) of
Lake, MS; siblings, Vera J. Byrd of Hurley, MS, Annie L. Emmons of Wade, MS, Jim Emmons (Kathy) of
Hurley, MS, and Randy Emmons of Wade, MS; four grandchildren, Thomas Everett (Kayla) of Hickory,
MS, Will Emmons of Brandon, MS, Hannah Crimm (Alex) of Forest, MS and Anna Grace Seale of Lake,
MS; two special great-grandchildren, Skylar Everett and Gray Crimm; and a host of nieces, nephews, and
other relatives and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Thomas Everett, Will Emmons, Gary M. Seale, Sr., Alex Crimm, Jerry Renfroe, and Keith Gibbs.
