Diane Boxx

Diane Boxx, a lifelong resident of Morton, Mississippi, passed away on September 16, 2026, at UMMC in Jackson, Mississippi. She was born on November 03, 1955, in Morton, Mississippi, and throughout her life remained deeply connected to the community she called home. Baptist by faith, Diane lived with a steady devotion to the people and places she loved most.

Diane found joy in life’s simple and lasting blessings. She enjoyed working in her yard and loved tending to her flowers, a reflection of the care and attention she gave to the world around her. She also enjoyed traveling, and above all, treasured spending time with her family. Those who knew her will remember the warmth she brought to the family, the pride she took in her home, and the quiet happiness she found in being surrounded by those she loved.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Boxx; her daughter, Donna Boxx; and her sons, Michael Boxx and Jason Boxx. She is also survived by her sisters, LaDonna “Cissy” Upton, Darlene McCurdy, and Linda Shoemaker; her nephew, Danny Ray Alford; and great-nephew, Zayden Nichols, who was her pride and joy, and he held a special place in her heart. Her family and friends will hold close the memory of her love, her faith, and the many moments shared through the years.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Robert “Bob” Alford and Birdie Alford; her brother, Charles Ray Alford; and her nephew, Tyler Wade Nichols.

Diane’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
