Irma Jean "Mama Jean" Dennis (Nicholas)

Irma Jean “Mama Jean” Dennis, 67, born June 17, 1954, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at UMMC. Visitation will be on Monday, July 12, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Tuesday, July 13, 2021 from 10:00AM until 10:50 AM at Wolf Funeral Services Lake. Services will be on July 13, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Wolf Funeral Services Chapel. Burial will be a private ceremony with family only at Pea Ridge Baptist Cemetery under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services Lake.
Mama Jean was a resident of Scott County for the past 30 years after moving here from Florida. She was Baptist by faith. She sang with several different gospel groups. She enjoyed going on cruises where she sang karaoke and played bingo.
Mama Jean is preceded in death by her husband Tom Dennis; parents, James and Daree Nicholas; brothers James “Joe” Q. Nicholas, Jr. ad James Shelton Nicholas. She is survived by 5 children, Mark Sumrall of Florida, Mike Sumrall of Virginia, Timmy Dennis (Crystal) of Forest, MS, Tom Dennis (Melanie) of Tennessee and Regina Hacker of Lake, MS; 2 sisters, Becky Buhagiar of Forest, MS and Bonita McKenna (Joe) of Virginia; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
