Debbie Jones

Debbie Jones, a cherished resident of Forest, Mississippi, passed away on June 2, 2025, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. She was born on April 17, 1957, in Monro County, Mississippi. Throughout her life, Debbie was known for her warmth, kindness, and commitment to her family and community.

Debbie was a devoted member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Forest, where she established deep and meaningful connections with fellow parishioners. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her through both the joyful and challenging moments.

Professionally, Debbie dedicated seventeen years of her life to Unipres in Forest, retiring in 2019. Her work ethic and commitment to excellence were evident in all she undertook, and she was respected by colleagues and friends alike.

Deeply passionate about family, Debbie found immense joy in spending time with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought her boundless happiness. She was a loving wife to Jessie Jones, Sr., a proud mother to her sons, John Michael Moss and Shawn Moss, and a dear sister to Betty Joiner (Ray), Carolyn Waters (Alvin), and Robert Hacker (Margaret). Her family also includes thirteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives who will carry her memory forward.

Debbie was predeceased by her parents, Benjamin and Geneva Jones, her son, Jessie Jones, Jr., and four brothers and eleven sisters, who surely welcomed her with open arms.

A visitation to celebrate Debbie’s remarkable life will be held on June 6, 2025, at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, Mississippi, starting at 1:00 PM and concluding at 1:45 PM. This will be followed by a funeral service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. Family and friends are welcome to gather to share their memories and honor a life well-lived.

Debbie's legacy of love, dedication, and faith will forever reside in the hearts of those she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed but remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made for her funeral expenses.
