Mrs. Christine S. Davis, 83, a resident of Ludlow, MS passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at the Baptist Medical Center Leake in Carthage, MS. Visitation was held at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 from 1:00 until 2:45 pm and funeral services were at 3:00 pm in the chapel, with burial following in the Ludlow Cemetery, Ludlow, MS. Officiating was Bro. Floyd Steverson. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Davis had lived most of her life in Ludlow, MS and was of the Baptist faith. She was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and gardening.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Davis in 1980; her parents, Berry and Mable Shoemaker; son, Bill Davis; two brothers, J.T. and Ray Shoemaker; one sister, Willie B. Priutt.
She is survived by one son, Richard Davis of Ludlow, MS; two sisters, Ruby Fleming of Ludlow, Ms; Launa Kyzar of Forest; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Chuck Edwards, Mike Tripp, Bruce Buffington, C.L. Presley, Greg Davis, J.B. Barnes, Milan Bera, and Davis Edwards.
