Davis Barnett

Davis Barnett, age 82, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023, at his residence in Forest, MS.  Visitation will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023, from 10:30 AM until 1:50 PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS.  His services will take place in our Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM. His Interment will follow at Harperville Cemetery in Forest, MS.  Bro. Aaron Wood and Joey Griffin will officiate under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services.

Davis was born on September 22, 1940 in Simpson County, MS to Alford Barnett and Mary Ella McMillan.  He lived in Harperville, MS for the past nine years. Davis was a member of Still Blessed Church in Morton, MS.  Davis loved music, especially playing the guitar in Still Church.

Davis was preceded in death by his parents, Alford and Mary Barnett; his son Mickey Barnett and his step daughter, Penny O’hara. He is survived by his wife, Jean Barnett of Harperville MS; his son, Rickey Barnett of Mendenhall, MS; his two step sons, Terry King of Harperville, MS and Mike King of Brandon, MS; eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Cory Parrette, Joseph Powell, Michael Page, Bryan King, Mike King and Terry King.
