Mr. Donnie Chambers, 47, a resident of Forest passed away Friday, November 12, 2010 at the University Medical Center of Mississippi, Jackson, MS. Visitation was held at Wolf Funeral Services on Sunday, November 14, 2010 from 1:30 until 9:00 pm and again on Monday from 8:00 until 10:45 am and services were at 11:00 am in the chapel of the funeral home with burial following in the Hillsboro Baptist Cemetery. Officiating was Rev. Ted Hawkins and Bro. William Pittman. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Chambers was a lifelong resident of the Hillsboro Community in Scott County and was a member of Hillsboro Baptist Church in Hillsboro. He was an avid outdoors-man who loved to fish, hunt and gardening and spend time with his grandchildren. He had worked with MDOT for 15 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Ray and Faye Chambers, grandparents, Snowdie Chambers and Gracen and Ruby Phillips.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Crout Chambers of Forest; one son, Nathan Chambers and wife Brandi of Forest; one sister, Tori Brown and husband Jerry of Crystal Springs; two brothers, Tim Chambers and wife Kay of Decatur; Shawn Chambers and wife Shawna of Forest; paternal grandmother, Bessie Chambers of Forest; two grand-children, Jaden Chambers and Jaleigh Chambers; one niece and one nephew.
Pallbearers were Terry Latham, Dwight Hurtt, Ricky Horn, Russell Jackson, Mike Tisdale and Pat Harrison. Honorary pallbearers were MDOT Fellow Employees.
