Bonnie Sue Lewis Dorman

Bonnie Sue Dorman, a cherished lifelong resident of Morton, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2026, at the Mississippi Care Center in Morton. Born on March 8, 1967, in Hinds County, Mississippi, Bonnie was a beloved member of the Line Creek Baptist Church in her hometown.

Bonnie's life was marked by a warm and gentle spirit, a devotion to her family, and a curious mind that found joy in reading, playing games, and watching television. These simple pleasures brought her comfort and happiness throughout her years.

She is remembered by her husband, A.C. Dorman; her sister, Mary Griffin (Tommy); her brother, Bobby S. Lewis; her sister-in-law, Helen Lewis; and her nieces and nephews: Eugenia (John) Jackson, January (Brad) Hoard, and her great-nieces and nephews Alexis Higginbotham, Hailey Jackson, Sandra Holder, Madison Fernald, and Matthew Scott. Bonnie also leaves behind numerous extended family members and friends who hold her memory dear.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Golden and Ima Jewel Lewis; her brother, Marshall Lewis; and her great-nephew, Douglas Hoard.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Line Creek Baptist Church located at 2492 Line Creek Road, Morton, Mississippi 39117. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m., providing family, friends, and community members the opportunity to celebrate Bonnie’s life and legacy.  There will be no graveside service.

Bonnie Sue Dorman’s life will be remembered with great respect and affection as that of a devoted wife, sister, aunt, great-aunt, and friend who enriched the lives of those around her. Her memory will continue to inspire and comfort all who had the privilege to know her.
