Ernestine Bates Blakely

Mrs. Ernestine Bates Blakely age 85, passed away Thursday April 30, 2020 at MS Care Center in Morton, MS. A visitation will be held on Sunday May 3, 2020 at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, under the portico from 10:00 AM until 10:30 AM with a funeral service to follow. Reverend Bob Blakely will officiate. A graveside service will be held at Glenwood Memorial Park in Richland, MS on Sunday May 3, 2020 at 12:30 PM.
Mrs. Blakely had lived in Richland, MS for the past seven years after moving from Leesburg, MS where she spent most of her life. She was a Baptist by faith and a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Richland, MS. She is preceded in death by her parents; Bill and Annie Lee Bates; sister, Billie Ann Jones; two brothers in-law, Jim Black, Merl Squires and her first husband, Willie Merchant.
Mrs. Blakely is survived by her Husband, Reverend Bob Blakely of Richland, MS; three daughters, Pamela Merchant Schisler ( Sam) of Madison, MS, Ann Merchant Crapps (Phil Parkman) of Morton, MS, Darlene Kranz (Joey) of Richland, MS; two sons, Timothy Merchant of Pulaski, MS, Darrell Blakely ( Virginia) of Terry, MS; two sisters, Aline Squires of Canton, MS, Paulette Black of Madison, MS; eighteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Phil Parkman, Mack Crapps, Danny Ward, George Adams, Kenny Adams, and Michael Harvey.
