Bill Huffman Jr.

Bill Huffman Jr., born June 17, 1941, in Pelahatchie, Mississippi, passed away on October 26, 2026, at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi.

Born and raised in Pelahatchie, Bill carried his Mississippi roots with him throughout his life. He graduated from Mississippi State University and went on to build a career marked by hard work and wide experience. He began his career in computers and worked all over the world. He also worked as a lineman for 30 years with Georgia Pine Electric. Although he was born in Mississippi, he lived most of his life in Georgia.

Beyond his work, Bill was known for his kindness to animals. He was an animal lover, especially of cats and dogs, and he faithfully fed local stray animals. That quiet compassion reflected a generous spirit and a caring heart.

Bill is survived by his cousins Jimmy L. Huffman, Betty Carol Huffman Traxler, Frankie Huffman Huff, and Connie Huffman Goodman. He is also survived by Deborah Stevenson, his caregiver, whose presence and care were an important part of his life. Those who knew Bill will remember him with affection and gratitude for the life he lived and the goodness he showed in both large and small ways.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Boyd Huffman Sr., and his mother, Elizabeth Shivers.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Wolf Funeral Services - Morton, 3054 Hwy 80 West, Morton, Mississippi 39117. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Wolf Funeral Services - Morton.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations sent to the MS Animal Rescue League.
