Henry Lee Bennett

Mr. Henry Lee Bennett age 82, passed away Thursday September 19th 2019 at Anderson Hospital in Meridian, MS. Visitation will be held Saturday September 21, 2019 from 1:30PM until 2:50PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS. Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM at Wolf Funeral Services Chapel in Lake, MS. Burial will follow at Goodhope Baptist Cemetery in Lake, MS. Brother Tommy Anderson will officiate.

Mr. Bennett was a lifelong resident of the Goodhope Community in Scott County. He was Baptist by faith, an avid outdoors-man who loved to hunt and fish. He loved gardening, and would grow his garden to give away to anyone who wanted vegetables. He retired from Scott County Beat 2 in 2002.

Mr. Bennett is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Fannie Bennett; four brothers, Truett Bennett, Robert Earl Bennett, Jimmy Ray Bennett and Lester Myers; one sister, Joann Bennett and daughter in law, Glenda Bennett. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Margie Bennett of Lake, MS; three sons, Danny Bennett (Cindy) of Decatur, MS, Wayne Bennett of Lake, MS and Harold Bennett (Denise) of Lake, MS; four grandchildren; Leann Little (Luke), Kevin Bennett, Tyler Bennett, Hope Bennett; four great- grandchildren, Destiny Barrett, Dalton Barrett, Gianna Little, Lila Bennett, and a number of nieces nephews.
