Ida Devera Aycock, 70, a resident of Morton passed away Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. Visitation was at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, Sunday, September 12, 2010 from 1:30 until 8:00 pm and again Monday from 9:00 until 10:15 am and funeral services will be at the First Baptist Church of Morton at 11:00 am with burial following in the Morton Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Aycock had lived in Morton for over 50 years and was a member of First Baptist Church of Morton where she was also a member of the Stancell Sunday School Class. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and fishing.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, David “Doodle” Aycock in 2005; her parents, Curtis and Elna Page.
She is survived by her daughter, Glenda Thomas and her husband Scott of Morton; her sons, Rev. Tim Aycock and his wife Nancy of Byram; Terry Aycock and his wife Monica of Morton; sisters, Nell Carr and husband Robert of Forest; Linda Jones and husband Lee of Morton; Ophelia Gray and husband Greg of Jackson; grandchildren, Brandi Stokley and husband Ryan, Jason Goss and wife Kelly, Ashley Aycock, Brandon Aycock, Makenzie Aycock, Hunter Aycock and Landon Aycock; great-grandchildren, Marley Grace Stokley and Kylie Goss; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Hope House of Hospitality, 786 E. Northside Dr., Jackson, MS 39206.
