Cellia Arispa Allen, 68, a resident of Pelahatchie passed away Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Crossgates River Oaks Hospital, Brandon, MS. Visitation was Monday, March 26, 2012 at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS from 5:30 until 9:00 pm and on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 from 8:30 until 9:45 am. Funeral services were Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 10:00 am in the chapel with burial following in the Leesburg Church of Christ Cemetery, Morton, MS. Officiating was Rev. Richard Cox. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Allen had lived in Pelahatchie for the past 34 years, and she was a member of Forest Baptist Church of Forest, MS. She loved spending time with her family, cooking and she loved her dogs.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harvey Junior Mathis; second husband, Jimmy Lee Allen; parents, George and Verna Lee Allen; one son, David Mathis.
She is survived by John Mathis and wife Michelle of Mize, MS; Harvey J. Mathis and wife Patricia of Puckett, MS; Lee Allen and wife Beverly of Pelahatchie, MS; Joetta Stevens and husband Wayne of Pelahatchie, MS; Shelia Kiaee and husband Ali of Tehran, Iran, Sandra Ayala and husband Ferney of Irvington, AL; Sara Johnson and husband Joseph of Pelahatchie, MS; one step-daughter, Charlene Parker and husband Charlie of Mendenhall, MS; four sisters, Rose Herrod and husband Richard of Morton, MS; Annie Phillips and husband Harme of Mendenhall, MS; Crickett Fitzhugh and husband Dallas of Sandhill, MS; Shirley Hart and husband Alan of Morton, MS; four brothers, Juno Richardson and wife Ruby of Pelahatchie, MS; Robert Richardson and wife Rita of Morton, MS; Danny Allen of Morton, MS; Frank Allen and wife Wanda of Polkville, MS; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Lee Allen, Greg Stevens, Sam Burnham, Joseph Johnson, Brad Stevens, and Butch Quick. Honorary pallbearers were Chris Denton, David Reid.
