Neil Hall

August 8, 1939 — October 12, 2016

W. Neil Hall, 77, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016. Arrangements are through Wolf Funeral Services with Visitation Thursday, October 13 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church from 5-8 PMand burial service Friday, October 14th, 11 AM also at the church.
A long time resident of Sandhill, MS, Neil was retired from MDOT after 39 years. Always an avid outdoorsman, Neil was not a man of many words until the conversation turned to hunting. He was a member of the Wild Turkey Federation and especially enjoyed his hunt trips with friends and family. Through his love of turkey hunting, he began to make custom box calls which hunters through out the United States now own. He was a proud Ole Miss graduate, he enjoyed Rebel sports going back to the good ole days of John Vaught. Always the gentleman he never spoke poorly of opposing teams, although he did smile through some of their losses. Neil loved the Lord and was member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church where was a Deacon and sang in the choir.
Neil was preceded in death by his parents Mell and Mary Hall, and his brother, George. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Georgia; two children, Katie (John) Schove of Oxford, and William (Kristen) Hall of Sandhill; four grandchildren, Mary Witt and Jack Schove, and Reece and Riley Hall; and his dog, Peanut.
