July 21, 1987 — June 13, 2016

Mr. Brandon Matthew McCurdy, age 28, passed away on Monday June 13, 2016 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS following a courageous eighteen month battle with Lymphoma at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. Visitation will be held on Friday June 17, 2016 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM and again on Saturday June 18, 2016 from 10:00AM until 10:50AM at the New Liberty Baptist Church in Morton, MS. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday June 18, 2016 at 11:00AM at New Liberty Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Officiating will be Bro. Paul Smith and Bro. John Vaughn. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
Brandon was a lifelong resident of the Branch Community in Scott County. He was an active member of the New Liberty Baptist Church in Morton, MS where he served nine years doing bible-drills. Brandon finished school in 2005. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, ride four-wheelers, cook, and play with his children. He loved spending time with his family and helping people.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Nebra McCurdy. He is survived by his wife, Amy Bush McCurdy of Morton, MS; his parents, Billy and Lisa McCurdy of Morton, MS; two daughters, Layla and Brylie McCurdy both of Morton, MS; one son, Brayden McCurdy of Morton, MS; one sister, Hannah McCurdy of Morton, MS; two brothers, Trevor McCurdy and Blake McCurdy both of Morton, MS; paternal grandfather, Ollie McCurdy of Morton, MS; maternal grandparents, Sidney and Catherine Tagert of Pelahatchie, MS; and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Justin Leonard, Cody Parker, Ben McCurdy, Adam McCurdy, Brandon Dearman, Austin Brunt, and Jason Lum. Honorary Pallbearers will be Richard Prestage, Ronnie Ivy, and Todd Rhinewalt.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to: The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 3 International Drive, Suite 200, Rye-Brook, NY 10573.
