Darmarcio J. “D.J.” Pope, age 22, passed away on Monday June 6, 2016 in Jackson, MS. Visitation was held on Tuesday June 14, 2016 from 12:00PM until 1:50PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Funeral Services were held on Tuesday June 14, 2016 at 2:00PM at the Wolf Funeral Services Chapel in Morton, MS. Burial followed in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Lake, MS. Officiating was Rev. Willie Robinson. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS was in charge of the arrangements.
D.J. had lived in Morton, MS most of his life. He was a member of the New Friendship Church in Forest, MS and loved football.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Archie Pope; his uncles, Timothy Pope and Archie Pope, Jr. He is survived by his parents, Greta Ficklin (Donald) of Morton, MS; sisters, Latoya Pope of Jackson, MS, Queeny Qualls (Patrick) of Pearl, MS, Amber Pope of Jackson, MS, Britney Pope of Brandon, MS, Chelsea Moore of Grenada, MS, And Jaiden Johnson of Los Vegas, NV; step-brother, Justin Ficklin of Terry, MS; maternal grandmother, Clarice Pope; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.
Pallbearers were Daquawan Gammage, Cortay Ragland, Tae Ficklin, Christopher West, Cameron Stowers and Mike Lee.
