Lucy Hunter

Lucy Massey Hunter, age 57, passed away on Thursday February 18, 2016 at her residence. Visitation was held on Friday February 19, 2016 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Funeral Services were held on Saturday February 20, 2016 at 2:00PM at the Wolf Funeral Services Chapel in Morton, MS. Burial followed in the Ludlow Cemetery in Ludlow, MS. Officiating was Bro. David Bryant and Bro. Joey Griffin. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Hunter had lived in the Branch Community for thirty years after moving from Pelahatchie, MS. She was of the Baptist faith and loved to grow flowers and tomatoes.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Grace Massey; her brother, James Lloyd Massey. She is survived by her husband, Joey Hunter of Morton, MS; two sons, Adam Champion and wife Kristen of Morton, MS, and Adrian Hunter and special friend Saylee Yount of Morton, MS; one sister, Shelia Hood and husband Billy of Morton, MS; one brother, Ronnie Massey of Pelahatchie, MS; two grandchildren, Ava Champion and Jayda Champion; and a host of other family and friends.
Pallbearers were Gaines Measels, Tyler Hines, Jay Dempsey, J.J. Lott, A.J. Fitzhugh, and George Davis. Honorary Pallbearer was Ryan Hood.
